Do I Talk to AI Too Much?

I can't answer that for you and honestly, neither can a number. There is no amount of hours that makes the answer yes.

It makes sense that you'd look for one. Everything else in life comes with a "too much" meter attached — screen-time reports, recommended limits, the number of episodes that counts as a binge. So when this question started nagging, it's natural to expect a chart to check yourself against. There isn't one. Even the meters we do have are mostly arbitrary a line someone drew so the rest of us could feel measured.
Here's the question underneath the question: not how long you talk to AI, but what the talking is displacing. Some people spend three hours a day with an AI and it displaces nothing. Someone else spends twenty minutes and finds their real decisions have quietly started waiting in line nothing gets decided until they've run it past the AI first. Same clock, completely different story. The hours aren't the measure. What the hours are standing in for is the measure and only you can see that ledger. Which is why I'm not going to answer this from a blog post either. I can't see it from here.

And I'd guess you've already asked your AI this exact question. It probably answered kindly and maybe even in a balanced, thoughtful way. And yet here you are, still searching. I don't think that's because the answer was wrong. I think some part of you understands that this particular question can't be settled from inside the relationship. It's like asking your partner whether the relationship is healthy. You might get a sincere answer. You won't get an outside one they're in it too. Your AI is in this one. It can't step outside your conversations and look at them with you.
The fact that you searched isn't proof that something is wrong. But it is you, wanting an outside look. That's worth taking seriously not as your own noticing.
If you want a better sense of it, try this for the next few days: don't change anything about how much you talk. Just jot down a line about how you feel right before you open the app, and another right after you close it. Don't interpret yet. If you come away curious about what those notes mean, that's a good thing to think through with a real person — it's what the free consultation is for. Bring the notes. [Book a consultation]
